Standing in the Gap is dedicated to the ministry of intercession by bringing together believers and spiritual leaders across the African continent through virtual and physical prayer Gatherings.
PRAYER
We meet every evening at 20h20 (8:20 PM) and every morning at 04h20 (4:20 AM) via our respective WhatsApp Groups. The 20h20 (8:20 PM) prayer session takes place in the Main WhatsApp Group. The 04h20 (4:20 AM) prayer session takes place every morning in a Separate, Dedicated WhatsApp Group. We also host a monthly, in-person prayer and ministry gathering.
20h20 (8:20 PM) PRAYER SESSION
During this prayer gathering belivers share Prayer Requests and Thanksgiving Items for 10 minutes from 20h20 (8:20 PM). From 20h30 (8:30 PM) to 21h00 (9 PM) the believers will be praying over the thanksgiving items and prayer requests.
04h20 (4:20 AM) PRAYER SESSION
During this prayer gathering the believer who leads the session will share the word of God for 5 to 10 minutes from 04h20 (4:20 AM) . From 04h30 (4:30 AM) to 05h00 (5 AM) the believers will be interceeding for whatsoever the Lord has placed in their spirit.
PREACHING
Each believer who is part of the group is encouraged to preach and share the word of God to encourage others. Dates are published in the group each month for every believer to chose a day to preach. Each message must be no longer than 20 Minutes and must be posted in the Main Whatsapp Group by no later than 06h00 (6 AM). Believers are encouraged to listen to the word and to comment on the word that was preached on that day.
EMERGENCY PRAYER REQUESTS
Should any believer who is part of Standing In The Gap have an emergency prayer request, they can phone or message their prayer request to +27 61 409 6195 and the believers that are available at that time will activate an emergency prayer session from the Main WhatsApp Group for anyone of the believers to join and interceed on their behalf. Should there be no response to the emergency prayer request, it may be attended to during the 20h20 (8:20 PM) prayer session.
